Upgrading from the Legacy BigCommerce Integration

If you're using the TaxCloud [Legacy] app for BigCommerce, you can upgrade to the current TaxCloud app at any time. The new app provides improved setup and stability improvements.

Considerations

• We recommend performing the upgrade during off-peak hours to avoid impacting sales tax calculation and capture for BigCommerce orders.
• If any orders do come in during the brief upgrade window:
  • BigCommerce will perform fallback tax calculations. For more information, including fallback tax options, refer to the BigCommerce tax documentation.
  • You can upload those orders to TaxCloud to ensure that they are included for reporting and filing.

Steps

1. Uninstall the legacy app.

   1. In BigCommerce, go to Apps > My Apps.
   2. Click Uninstall on the TaxCloud app.

2. Install and configure the TaxCloud app as described here.
