How to View and Share Transaction Details
Summary
This article details how to view comprehensive information for a specific transaction and how to share a direct link to that transaction with team members. Learn the difference between the Quick View and the full Order Detail page.
When to Use This
Follow these steps when you need to examine the specifics of an order, such as shipping information, financial totals, or product details. This is also the process to follow if you need to share a transaction's information with a colleague or support team for review.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the Transactions page: From the main menu on the left, click on Transactions.
- Locate the transaction: Use the search and filter options at the top of the page to locate the desired transaction. Click the Search button to see the results.
- Open Quick View: On the Transactions page, click anywhere on the row of the transaction you wish to inspect. This will open the Quick View pop-up window.
- Review Quick View Details: The Quick View provides a summary of the order, including Order Details, Jurisdiction, Financials, and Products.
- Access the full Order Detail page: For a more in-depth look, either:
- Click the More Details button within the Quick View window, or
- Click directly on the specific Order ID from the Transactions list to open the transaction's detail page.
- Review the Lookup Report / Order Details: On the detail page, you can review the full order information, including:
- Customer ID
- Origin and destination addresses
- Subtotal, tax, and total amounts
- Order status and other core metadata
- Review the Jurisdiction Report / Jurisdiction breakdown: On the same page, you can examine the jurisdiction-level tax details, including:
- State and local jurisdictions that applied
- Tax rates and tax amounts for each jurisdiction
- Share the Transaction: To share the transaction, simply copy the URL from your browser's address bar while on the Order Detail page. This unique link can be sent to other team members, who can use it to directly access the same page (subject to their permissions).

Common Questions (FAQs)
What is the difference between Quick View and More Details? Quick View is a pop-up summary of the transaction. The "More Details" page is a full, dedicated page with all transaction information and a unique, shareable URL.
What is the Lookup Report? The Lookup Report (visible on the Order Detail page) summarizes the key order attributes used for tax calculation, including customer ID, origin and destination addresses, and the transaction-level financial totals (subtotal, tax, and overall total).
What is the Jurisdiction Report? The Jurisdiction Report (or jurisdiction breakdown section on the Order Detail page) shows how tax was applied across state and local jurisdictions, including the specific tax rates and tax amounts that contributed to the transaction’s total tax.
Why does the Jurisdiction section show 'N/A'? This is a temporary display issue for internal users. The jurisdiction breakdown will be visible and populated correctly for customers when the feature is fully released.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Link Not Working for a Colleague: Ensure the person you are sharing the link with has the appropriate permissions and is logged into the platform. Access is restricted to authorized users.
- Details Not Loading: If the Quick View or More Details page fails to load, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, it may be a temporary problem; try again after a few moments.
