If you would like TaxCloud to file on your behalf in a non-SST state, there are a few steps that you'll need to take.

First, you'll need to enable filing & calculation within your TaxCloud account. Next, you'll need to submit your request to TaxCloud Customer Support to alert our filing team of your filing frequency and access to filing portal for each state.

:::info For SST states, if you want TaxCloud to file on your behalf, please reach out to support a month before the filing is due.

For non-SST states, submit your requests to Support before the last day of the filing period.

:::

Step 1 - Enable filings in the TaxCloud Dashboard

  1. From the Thresholds page, find the state for which you want to enable managed filing.

  2. Click the three-dot menu icon for that state.

  3. Select Request Filing Taxes from the dropdown menu.

  4. Alternatively, click into the State Details and select the Enable Tax Filing button.

  5. Either action will open the Enable Tax Filing Services modal, which explains what the service includes, its pricing, and the next steps for activation.

  6. To proceed with the request, click the Add Tax Filing button. If you wish to exit without making changes, click Cancel.

Step 2: Submit your request to the TaxCloud Support team.

  1. Select ‘Add Tax Filing’ to trigger the email client.
