# Upgrading from the Legacy BigCommerce Integration

If you're using the **TaxCloud \[Legacy\]** app for BigCommerce, you can upgrade to the current TaxCloud app at any time. The new app provides improved setup and stability improvements.

## Considerations

* We recommend performing the upgrade during off-peak hours to avoid impacting sales tax calculation and capture for BigCommerce orders.
* If any orders do come in during the brief upgrade window:
  * BigCommerce will perform fallback tax calculations. For more information, including fallback tax options, refer to the [BigCommerce tax documentation](https://support.bigcommerce.com/s/article/Tax-Overview?language=en_US#options).
  * You can [upload those orders to TaxCloud](/articles/uploading-your-transactions-via-csv-faq-8dxG8g3jwM) to ensure that they are included for reporting and filing.

## Steps


1. Uninstall the legacy app.

   
   1. In BigCommerce, go to **Apps > My Apps**.
   2. Click **Uninstall** on the TaxCloud app.
