# What is this notice?

This is a notice indicating that you have sales tax due for a past period in the state of Texas. It will indicate any tax due, the tax already paid towards the period in question, and any penalties or interest due.

# What should you do?

Texas is a [non-SST member state](https://www.streamlinedsalestax.org/home), so it's very unlikely that TaxCloud is acting as a CSP for you there.

* Review your [TaxCloud State Management](https://app.taxcloud.com/go/states-management) to confirm if Texas under [TaxCloud SST or Merchant responsibility](https://brainfi41.brainfish.ai/en-us/articles/how-do-i-know-if-taxcloud-is-filing-for-me-in-a-state-R5Lg97BwI8).
* If TaxCloud is listed under Filing Responsibility, please send a copy of the notice to [service@taxcloud.com](mailto:service@taxcloud.com).
