# How to Filter Transactions with Advanced Search

## Introduction

This article provides a detailed guide on using the advanced search functionality to filter and find specific transactions. This feature is useful for narrowing down your transaction data based on various criteria.

## Steps to use Advanced Search for Transactions


1. Navigate to **Transactions > Reports**.
2. On the **Transactions** page, click the **Advanced Search** bar (or the filter icon located on the right side of the search bar) to expand the menu and see your filter options.
3. Use the available controls and checkboxes to select your desired filters:
   * Change the **month/year**, select a specific date, or choose a range of days within a month by using the calendar icon at the top right corner of the tab.
   * You can see transactions included in tax reporting by selecting the **Captured** checkbox.
   * You can see returned transactions by checking both the **Captured** and **Returned** boxes.
   * See test transactions from your sandbox by selecting the **Only Test Transactions** box.
   * Filter by other status-related options such as **Only Filed Transactions**, **Only Authorized**, or **Only Captured**.
   * Use the text box to search for **Order ID**, **Customer ID**, or **city name**, and the **state** field to narrow the search to a specific state.
4. To apply your selected filters to the transaction list, click the **Set Filters** (or **Set Filter**) button.
5. To remove all active filters and return to the default view, click the **Clear Filters** button.
