# Account Management

## Introduction

This guide provides an overview of how to navigate the main sections of your account dashboard, including viewing transactions and managing account settings such as billing, users, integrations, and locations.

## Steps

Upon logging in, you will be directed to the main dashboard. If an alert banner or pop-up window notifies you of pending updates, such as updated terms of service, click to review the document details. Check the confirmation box and accept the agreement to ensure your account remains active.

1. Start on the main **Dashboard**. Here you can view your business profile and a high-level summary of your financial activity:
   * **Monthly Sales Data**: Locate the primary performance widgets at the top of the interface. The **Sales Total** widget shows the total gross sales for the selected period along with a timestamp of the last database update. The **Tax Total** widget displays the corresponding calculated tax collected.
   * **Reporting Period**: Use the **Filter by Month** dropdown menu in the upper-right corner to toggle between different billing periods and update the dashboard metrics dynamically.
   * **Regional Thresholds**: The **Thresholds** section displays your tax collection status and progress towards thresholds across different locations (columns include Location, Tax Collection, Threshold Status, and Current Progress). A notification banner indicates when the threshold calculation runs.
2. Click on **Reporting** in the left-hand menu and select **Transactions** to view a detailed list of all your sales transactions.

### Access your account settings

3. Open the account area:
   * Click your **username** (upper-left) to open the dropdown menu, then select **Account** to go to your main account page.
   * (Depending on your navigation layout, you may instead see an **Account** dropdown in the left-hand menu.)
4. From the account menu (typically on the left), select the section you need:
   * **Details** – View and manage your business name, account ID, legal information, and other key account data.
   * **Plans & Billing** – View your current plan, update billing information, and access invoice history.
   * **Users** – View and manage all users associated with the account.
   * **Integrations** – View connected services and their status, and add new connections.
   * **Locations** – View and manage your business addresses.

## Summary

The main dashboard serves as a centralized interface for managing sales tax compliance. By utilizing the primary dashboard view to evaluate overall sales figures and tax totals, filtering by reporting period, monitoring regional thresholds, and keeping account agreements up to date, you can lay the foundation for strategic tax management and ensure seamless account operation.
