Florida Hunting, Fishing, and Camping Sales Tax Holiday (Sept 8 – Dec 31, 2025)
Florida has announced a Hunting, Fishing, and Camping Sales Tax Holiday beginning September 8, 2025 and running through December 31, 2025. During this time, certain products are exempt from sales tax when specific conditions (such as price thresholds) are met.
TaxCloud will automatically apply exemptions for the qualifying products listed below, as long as the correct Taxability Information Code (TIC) is used.
⚠️ Important: Products coded with TIC 0 (General Product / Always Taxable) will not receive any sales tax holiday exemptions. If you are using TIC 0 on products that qualify, you must update your product’s TIC to the correct category for the exemption to apply, this is what tells the TaxCloud tax engine what this product is.

What Merchants Need to Do
- Check your product catalog in TaxCloud.
If any qualifying products are currently assigned TIC 0, update them to the correct TIC from the list above.
Update your integration settings (if applicable).
- If your integration defaults all products to TIC 0, adjust it to use a more accurate product-level TIC.
- Review our TIC Guide for details on choosing the right product category.
Why This Matters
- TIC 0 = Always taxable. Products assigned this code will never be exempt, even during tax holidays.
- Using the correct TIC ensures that your customers get the sales tax exemption they expect — and prevents customer support issues.
