How to Locate a Transaction ID in TaxCloud

If you’re reaching out to our Support team with a question or concern about a specific transaction, the fastest way for us to assist you is by reviewing the Transaction ID or URL. Providing this information helps us quickly locate the exact record in your TaxCloud account and identify any issues or discrepancies.

🔍 What is a Transaction ID?

Each transaction processed in TaxCloud has a unique identifier (Transaction ID), which is part of the URL when viewing a transaction’s details. Sharing that URL with our Support team allows us to immediately access the transaction and begin investigating.

📌 How to Find a Transaction URL in Your TaxCloud Account

Follow these steps:

  1. Log into your TaxCloud account

Go to https://app.taxcloud.com and sign in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to Transactions

From the main menu, go to:

    Transactions > Reports

  3. Locate the relevant transaction

Use the filters or search bar to find the specific transaction you’re referencing (e.g., by date or order number).

  4. Open the transaction

Click on the transaction to view its details.

  5. Copy the full URL from your browser

While viewing the transaction, copy the entire URL from your browser’s address bar.

It will look something like this:

    https://app.taxcloud.com/go/transactions/detail/1234abcd-5678-efgh-9012-ijkl3456mnop

  6. Include the URL in your Support request

Paste this URL into your message to our Support team so we can investigate quickly.

🗓 Optional: Include the Transaction Date

If you know the specific date the transaction occurred, including that information in your request is helpful as well—especially when multiple transactions may be involved.
