How to Use Multi-Account Login
With our Multi-Account Login feature, you can easily switch between multiple accounts without needing to log out each time. This is perfect for users who manage multiple business accounts or accountants that work with multiple businesses.
To gain access to the Multi-Account Login feature, use the steps below to connect at least two accounts to a singular email.
Considerations
- During the setup process, it is recommended that you use an existing TaxCloud account as your primary email.
Step 1: Choose your primary email
Multi-Account Login uses one email to connect multiple accounts. If you already access multiple TaxCloud accounts through a variety of emails, decide on a singular email to enable the Multi-Account Login feature. You will not lose any additional TaxCloud accounts through this process.
Step 2: Connect your primary email to a second account
If you have multiple TaxCloud accounts through multiple emails, use the following instructions.
- Sign into your secondary account.
- Access the Contacts page
- Select 'Add' and invite your primary email as a contact.
- Log out of your secondary TaxCloud account.
- Repeat steps 1-4 as necessary.
- Sign in to TaxCloud using your primary email. View the Multi-Account management feature in the top right corner of the page.
OR
If you work with a business that has not already provided you access to their TaxCloud account, use the following instructions.
- Provide a business admin with your primary email account, and ask them to add you as a Contact (steps 2 and 3 above).
- Check your email for a TaxCloud account invite.
- Sign in to TaxCloud using your primary email. View the Multi-Account management feature in the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Switch between accounts
- Click the dropdown on the top right hand corner of the page. Any accounts that you have access to will appear in this dropdown.
- Next, select the name of the account that you would like to view.
- View that you have now switched to the account that you selected.
