Connecting TaxCloud to Stripe
The TaxCloud integration with Stripe automatically pulls your sales every month and keeps track of how much sales tax you collected in each taxing jurisdiction, simplifying your sales tax filing.

Before you begin
Make sure you have a TaxCloud account and can sign in. If you don’t have an existing TaxCloud account, sign up now.
Step 1: Complete TaxCloud setup
Your TaxCloud account must be set up so that the integration with Stripe works correctly.
Step 2: Add the Stripe integration to TaxCloud
- From the TaxCloud app, go to the Integrations page.
- Click Add Connection.
- Click Stripe in the integrations list.
Click Add.
Set the integration details.
Enter a Name for the integration.
This name is used for identification purposes in TaxCloud.
- Set the URL to
https://stripe.com
. - Enter the Taxability Information Code (TIC) that best fits the goods or services that you sell so that TaxCloud can identify and properly tax items.
- To search for TICs, expand Need Help Finding your Taxability Information Code (TIC)?
- If there is no match, enter 0. This will set items to taxable.
- Click Finish Setup.
Step 3: Link TaxCloud to Stripe
Click Link Account to set up the connection to Stripe.
- When prompted, sign into an existing Stripe account or create a new one.
Confirm that you want to grant TaxCloud access to your Stripe account.
Step 4: Set the connection Live
After you have connected TaxCloud to your Stripe account, the integration is set up but not yet importing data. When you are ready to begin importing transactions into TaxCloud, set the connection to Stripe to live.
- From the TaxCloud app, go to the Integrations page.
- Click the Stripe connection.
In the top right corner of the page, click Go Live, then confirm your choice.
